Rated power and peak power are different figures.
The Ridge supplier specification lists 1,500W rated motor power and 3,000W peak power. Peak output should not be treated as an interchangeable measure of continuous performance. When comparing bikes, check that the figures describe the same kind of rating.
What does 48V 23Ah tell you?
These are the nominal voltage and listed battery capacity. Multiplying 48V by 23Ah gives 1,104Wh of calculated nominal energy. It is not a measurement of usable energy at the wheel and does not, by itself, establish riding distance.
Read range together with its conditions.
The supplier lists 50–60km with a 70kg load at speeds below 35km/h. Actual range varies with speed, terrain, rider load, temperature, battery condition and riding style. A range claim with different test conditions is not a direct comparison.
Make comparisons on the same basis.
- Separate rated and peak motor power.
- Check whether battery figures are nominal and whether the configuration is the same.
- Look for load, speed, surface and other test conditions.
- Include bike size, weight, delivery and support in the purchase decision.
The Ridge specification
Ridge uses supplier model EDB001. The specification revision used on this site is 2026-10-02; manufacturer-listed top speed is 58km/h. Confirm the current configuration and use the supplied instructions.
